The brisket was so delicious, tender and falls apart with the fingers. So flavorful that you don't even need BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce is just a bonus. The sides are just as amazing. Beans and potato salad soooooo good!

Best BBQ in Tucson. I've tried a lot of bbq in the country, and this is one of the best places in the US. Definitely the best BBQ in tucson. Food 5/5: We ordered ribs, pork, sausage, chicken, and brisket. The brisket is by far the best I've ever had and my favorite item on the menu. The smokey flavor permeates the entire cut of meat. A close second for favorites was the sausage. Every item had delicious flavor was still being very moist. If you can make sure to try all 5 sauces they have available. Each dish arrived hot to the table. My favorite side item was the mac but each item was delicious in it's own right. Don't sleep on the sunflower salad! As an aside, I'd recommend trying the dessert as well (if you aren't full). Service 5/5: Customer service is great and the prices are reasonable. Better than BBQ I've had in Texas and Maryland. The atmosphere and service are so great that referring to it as customer service is a disservice to the friendly, prompt and engaging nature of the staff. Atmosphere 5/5: I really like the layout and patio seating. We sat inside for dine-in but there was a expeditious take out Service available. The music was lively without being over powering. The seating was very inviting and comfortable. The restrooms are clean an orderly. I enjoyed being able to see the smokers on my way in. Parking is readily accessible which is always a plus! Overall, this restaurant is a hidden gem here in tucson. I would recommend making the trip for a nice family dinner or dropping by for lunch. This restaurant is a great place to grab a bite with family and friends.

Writing this review after coming here 3 times. 5/5 stars The BBQ her is very good, and I’m comparing this to the other BBQ spots in the Tucson area. Most of which I’ve been to. I highly recommend giving this place a shot on your next meal out.

We headed here a couple of hours before the main dinner hour, to enjoy a beer on a sunny Sunday, but couldn’t resist digging in for a big meal. Creating a flight of bbq sauce really made my day, and it was nice to be asked about what chicken parts I preferred. Such a fun place to watch the bbq pit in action, nosh the delicious goods (including that famous crack pie), and enjoy live music on the spacious, comfy patio — a relaxing vibe all the way, with friendly service and great food.

Very good, bbq. I am from the south, and I have a variety of smokers and grills. So, when I travel, I always check out the local BBQ joints. Bashful Bandit did not disappoint. Nice smoke ring on the moist and tender brisket. Brisket had a delicious rub with a great bark. The ribs were tender and juicy, with salt, pepper, and garlic rub. The dill potato salad was new for me, but pleasantly good. The dill was not overpowering and added the right amount of zing. But the Boracho beans were the best I have ever tasted. Simmered in beer and mouth-watering goodness. It's very different from southern baked beans or Texas brisket baked beans. And, the Smoked Crack Pie.....can we say caramelized and smoky-sweet goodness? You have to try one there and then take one home with you. Very nice staff with quick service. All around, it is a great casual dining experience. Highly recommend.

Brisket with solid, green chile pulled pork was spicy but ok, dill potato salad with excellent and beans were great. Smoked pie was gross.

After visiting several barbecue spots in Tucson, AZ my favorite by far in Tucson is Bashful Bandit. I actually came last year right after they opened and already know this was going to be the highlight of Tucson. Funny enough, I actually came to the Bashful Bandit when it was a biker bar almost a decade ago when I was visiting a friend out here. Great times that I barely remember. Seeing the location and building changed into a barbecue joint makes me happy. The brisket was so good. Nice and peppery and from what I could taste (and see laid out) the flavor of mesquite that I love. Growing up in San Diego, everything was cooked over mesquite. I saw they mixed the wood, and I don’t have the eye to know what every wood is so I asked. A Pecan and Mesquite mix. Another highlight for me is the pulled pork that is mixed with green chiles that adds extra and different flavor which my coworker said was spicy but I couldn’t tell lol. My favorite side was the half sour pickle. You could knock someone out with how big that pickle was. Anyways i could come in just to grab that. Next time im in town def i need to try out their smoked jackfruit and maybe get to try their special twist on the Texas Twinkie with a prickly pear glaze they were telling me about before i needed to rush out for a meeting lol. Btw, barely made it to the meeting lol.
